C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS) is a comet that was clearly visible from the northern hemisphere in October 2024, impressing with a brightness of up to -4 mag in the daytime sky. It was discovered in 2023 in China, and on its journey through the Solar System it developed a long tail. At its closest point to the Sun (perihelion) it was 58.6 million km from the Sun, and it came within about 70.7 million km of Earth on 12 October 2024. By the time I photographed it, its distance was already around 140 million kilometres.
