LDN 673 is an interstellar dark cloud in the constellation Aquila (the Eagle). This cloud consists mainly of dust and gas and lies within our galaxy, the Milky Way. Through gravity and the compression of matter in such clouds, star-forming regions can develop in which young stars and protostellar objects are born.
It was first light with the new Skywatcher 150 Quattro, hence the distorted stars. Despite collimating with the Noctutec Oral, I probably didn’t account for the tilt, which becomes noticeable quite quickly at f/3.45.
